The Umatilla School District Board of Directors removed one of its standing goals and revised others during a Sept. 11 workshop. Board President Lesley Claustro-Sanguino called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.; the minutes record that Goal #4 was removed and edits were made to Goals #5 and #6.
Board members agreed to add the word “local” to Goal #5 and to update Goal #6 to require that “Board Members will share proper channels with the community members when concerns arise.” The change to Goal #6 was recorded in the minutes as text adopted during the workshop; no formal motion or roll-call vote is recorded in the transcript. The board listed attendance and noted one member, Jorge Meza, as excused. The workshop adjourned at 6:47 p.m.
