The Milton-Freewater Unified SD 7 School Board accepted certified resignations and approved seven new certified hires during its April 13 meeting.
Superintendent Aaron Duff presented three certified resignations: Allison Henckel (Online School Coordinator), Sue Denman (elementary teacher) and Kylie Woody (elementary teacher). "MOTION: KATHY SILVA MOVED TO APPROVE THE CERTIFIED RESIGNATIONS, AS PRESENTED. SECOND: CLAUDIA LIMON VOTE: UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED," the board record shows.
Mr. Duff also presented seven new certified hires: Deisy Haid (Child Development Specialist/Counselor, Gib Olinger Elementary), Angel Palacios (Child Development Specialist, Central Middle School), Lyndsey Doherty (Special Education Teacher, Central Middle School), Emma Leber (Elementary Teacher, Gib Olinger Elementary), Ashley Jones (Elementary Teacher, Gib Olinger Elementary), Gary Eastvedt (Math Teacher, McLoughlin High School) and Regan Braden (Elementary Teacher, Ferndale Elementary). Claudia Limon moved to approve the hires; Kelly Kessler seconded and the board approved the new hires unanimously.
Board members did not place conditions on the approvals. The district will update staffing records and payroll to reflect the changes.
