Board accepts small grants for art program and weight-room equipment

The district accepted two grants presented by Superintendent Aaron Duff during the Jan. 12 meeting. The Art Walla Walla ABC grant of $1,000 was awarded to teacher Lynne Burnham for the Central Art Program; an Oregon Community Foundation advised-fund grant of $2,500 was approved for weight-room equipment.
Vince Ruzicka moved to accept the grants; Kathy Silva seconded and the board voted unanimously. The grants will be administered by the district per standard acceptance practices and assigned to the relevant programs for procurement and tracking.
