Jennifer Fleming named executive director of finance; several positions remain open

Miss Kennedy announced that Jennifer Fleming had been hired as the new executive director of finance and officially started Jan. 9. The board was told Fleming replaces Andrew Mackie; because the role is classified it did not require board approval. Miss Kennedy also announced the hiring of Judy Barnett as a bus driver, noting she is completing the required fiscal items and expected to begin driving next week.
Staff listed current openings—including special education, middle school language arts, guidance counselor and football coach positions—and said the district had restructured an earlier finance role into a director of benefits and accounts payable to support Fleming's promotion.
