Superintendent (Cathy presented personnel items) recommended hiring two certified candidates: Tara Ramsey as a high‑intensity tutor (to start after winter break) and Olivia Ashley to fill a science‑teacher vacancy at 96 High School for the 2026–27 contract year. A motion to hire both candidates passed by voice vote.
The superintendent also reported personnel departures: resignations from Matthew Bennett (teaching) and Jordan Bennett (guidance counselor), both effective at the end of the school year, a resignation from Andrew Mackey (safety director) and retirements including a culinary‑arts instructor and a maintenance employee. The guidance‑counselor position has been advertised and other vacancies will be posted as needed.
