The Greenwood 52 board opened the meeting by recognizing students and staff across the district for academic and service achievements.
Mr. Fitzprau presented Claire Thompson as teacher of the month and described her work as the media specialist who “transformed our media center into an inviting, engaging, and dynamic space.” The board also recognized students with perfect SC Ready scores and multiple teachers and principals who earned region‑champion or high report‑card ratings, and noted Edgewood Middle School and 96 High School received excellent report‑card ratings.
Board members applauded the accomplishments and highlighted that several schools earned good or excellent ratings; administrators said they would continue targeted efforts to improve any schools that fell short of an excellent rating.
