Instruction staff presented the district's proposed 2026–27 program of studies and listed several academic changes designed to keep advanced coursework in-district. The update includes a revised dual-enrollment compact with weekly grade check-ins, strengthened summer reading requirements and three new social-studies offerings: AP Human Geography plus Economics and Personal Finance Honors and Government Honors. The board moved and approved the program for the 2026–2027 school year by voice vote.
"We have added 3 new courses for social studies, 1 is AP human geography, and we have also added economics and personal finance honors and government honors," the instruction presenter said while outlining the revisions and the district's aim to keep upper-level students in-district for tenth-grade coursework. Board members asked no follow-up questions and voted in favor.
