District staff: finished cursive curriculum to be presented at Sept. 2 board meeting

A staff member told the Committee of the Whole on Aug. 18 that the cursive curriculum being developed by Mrs. Donato and her team will be completed and brought to the full board for official approval at the Sept. 2 meeting.
Committee members asked whether the program is a new addition or a refresh of existing materials. One committee member, speaking after the presentation, said the community has raised this issue often and asked if the curriculum will come before the board; the staff member replied that the curriculum will be presented at the Sept. 2 meeting for approval.
The committee did not vote on the curriculum during the informational presentation. The Chair adjourned the Committee of the Whole at 7:17 p.m.; the regular board meeting was scheduled to begin about 13 minutes later.
