RHS FCCLA students win medals at state conference; most qualified for nationals

Members of the Raton High School FCCLA told the board that 14 students competed at the State FCCLA Leadership Conference. Of those participants, two earned gold medals, nine received silver and three took home bronze. Nine students qualified for the National Conference in Washington, D.C., scheduled for July 2–11, 2026, and eight plan to attend.
The students said they are "especially excited to take part in events celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States while they are there." The board received the report during the recognition portion of the meeting; no action was required.
