At its April 13 meeting the Claymont City Board of Education approved a package of superintendent recommendations covering administrative reassignments and personnel actions.
Among the actions the board approved were the transfer of Ida Gorman to high school assistant principal for 2026–27 and an administrative reduction in force for Michele Henry as Intermediate Principal at the conclusion of the 2025–26 school year followed by employment of Michele Henry as middle-school assistant principal for 2026–27. The board also approved the transfer of Jodie Miles back to the Assistant Superintendent position.
The board moved to rescind one limited educational aide contract (Elizabeth Garbrandt), approved the hiring of Stephanie Lendon as Intermediate Cook effective April 20, 2026, granted up to 30 extended service days for Jasmine Russell for 2025–26, approved student-teacher and volunteer placements, and approved a list of classified substitutes pending credentialing. The superintendent’s package was moved and seconded and carried on a roll-call vote by members present.
