Board approves February financials and a package of tax levies from Tuscarawas County Budget Commission

The board approved the Treasurers recommendations including the February financial report and payment of bills. Treasurer Kim Beckley presented the financial materials included in board packets; upon her recommendation the board approved the items on a roll-call vote.
The board approved the "Resolution Accepting the Amounts and Rates as determined by the Budget Commission of Tuscarawas County," authorizing tax levies and certifying them to the County Auditor. The levies and presented estimates were: Permanent Improvement 4.2 mills ($1,241,000); Current Expense (General) 20.5 mills ($5,300,000); Permanent Improvement 2.0 mills ($476,000); and Current Expense (General) 3.0 mills ($783,000). The motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
Board approval also included two resolutions related to participation in and requesting assistance from the OSBA Legal Assistance Fund for calendar year 2026.
