The Board of Directors of Lane County School District 40 voted unanimously Nov. 12 to adopt a set of posted revised policies covering student education records, attendance requirements, use of personal electronic devices, immunization requirements and sports participation and concussion guidance.
Board member Mary Stayton moved to adopt the posted revised policies and Debi Wilkerson seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The adopted items were listed on the agenda as IGBAB/JO-AR (Education Records/Records of Students with Disabilities), JEA and JEA-AR (Compulsory Attendance and Notices/Citations), JFCEB and JFCEB-AR (Personal Electronic Devices and Exceptions), JHCA (Immunization, School Sports Participation, Concussions and Other Brain Injuries), and JO (Directory Information).
School leaders presented the packet as posted; the motion to adopt replaced prior versions with the revised language shown on the public agenda. The board record does not include any recorded roll-call objections or amendments to the posted language. The board took no separate action on individual policies beyond the single adoption vote.
