The Lane County School District 40 Board of Directors voted unanimously on Nov. 25, 2025, to hire Human Capital Enterprises to conduct the district’s superintendent search and chose the firm’s streamlined option. Board member Tim Rogers moved to employ Human Capital Enterprises; board member Debi Wilkerson seconded, and the motion "carried unanimously."
Chair Kandice Lemhouse Worsham told the board they could either perform an internal search or contract an outside firm and said Human Capital Enterprises and OSBA had submitted proposals. After members discussed the proposals, Rogers moved to engage Human Capital Enterprises and then moved that the district proceed with the streamlined search option; both motions were seconded by Wilkerson and were approved unanimously. Chair Lemhouse Worsham then requested Superintendent Mike Johnson to begin the contracting process; Johnson said he would contact Human Capital Enterprises to start contracting.
The meeting was a short, virtual special session called to address the superintendent search. The board recorded a quorum and completed the agenda within about 14 minutes, adjourning at 6:16 PM. No discussion of search price, timeline milestones, candidate criteria, or contract specifics appears in the meeting record; the board’s direction was limited to selecting the firm and opting for the streamlined search process.
