Barrett Tullis was elected president of the Indian Hill Exempted Village School District Board of Education for the 2026 calendar year, and Rob Warfield (listed in the meeting transcript with variant spellings) was chosen as vice president after nominations and roll-call voting at the organizational meeting.
The board adopted the organizational meeting agenda by motion and then conducted nominations and votes for officers. The clerk walked members through procedure for nominations and called a roll for each office; after the vote the clerk announced that Tullis would serve as president and Warfield as vice president for the coming year.
At the same session the board established standing committees and appointed chairs and members: Warfield was named chair of the Instruction and Technology committee; Nolan Marx was named chair of the Operations committee with Tim Schweikert serving on that committee; Nikki Singh was named chair of Personnel and Professional Relations with Tim Schweikert also serving; and the Finance and Audit committee will be chaired by President Tullis with Nolan Marx serving. The board said it intends to encourage more frequent committee meetings and will publish committee schedules when set.
"We will be having information on committee meetings in the coming future. Those will be open to the public, and as always, we invite and encourage our friends to come and share their thoughts," President Tullis said during the meeting. Subsequent administrative remarks emphasized transparency and public engagement as the board lays out its priorities for the year.
The board took a brief recess for a photograph following the organizational business and then reconvened as its first regular meeting of the year to continue routine and substantive business.
