Panama board approves tenure appointments, accepts donations and declares surplus technology

On the superintendent’s recommendation the board approved multiple tenure appointments: Jennie Caruso (music teacher) effective Sept. 1, 2026; Vicky Mazurkiewicz (music teacher) effective July 1, 2026; Quinn Payne (Birth–Gr.2 Early Childhood) effective July 1, 2026; Dennis Roberts (Students with Disabilities) effective Sept. 2, 2026; and Ashley Williams (Gr.1–6) effective July 1, 2026. Each appointment was approved 6–0 and noted as a tenured appointment.
The board accepted gifts and donations noted in Docket #97, including $179.90 from Panama Fire Company for a safety-village field trip and multiple business donations totaling $805.00 for an end-of-year staff treat. The district also approved a resolution to declare miscellaneous technology items surplus and dispose of them (Docket #98).
