Panama board authorizes use of ROC-negotiated data privacy agreements to comply with Ed Law 2-d

The board adopted a resolution authorizing use of DPAs negotiated by the RIC ONE Risk Operations Center (ROC) and its attorneys for the 2026–27 fiscal year to support compliance with New York State Education Law Section 2-d and related regulations concerning student personally identifiable information and certain APPR data. The resolution clarifies that DPAs negotiated by the ROC will be presented to the district for final execution and do not require additional budgeted funds.
The district reserved the right to make final determinations about DPAs and to consult its own legal counsel before executing any agreement. The minutes reference Docket #100 and state the board approved the resolution 6–0.
