Panama voters approved $14.74 million budget and bus proposition, board accepts results

At its June 15 meeting the Panama Central School District Board of Education accepted the results of the May 19, 2026 district vote. The board recorded that Proposition No. 1 — a $14,744,700 budget — passed, 100 yes to 28 no; Proposition No. 2, authorizing purchase of school buses and similar vehicles, also passed, 92 yes to 38 no. The board adopted the accepting resolution by a 6–0 vote.
The district also recorded the results of the school board election: Bessie Eggleston received 122 votes and was elected to the school board. The minutes list total registered voters as 130. Board members did not attach additional conditions to the acceptance resolution.
