The Panama Central School District Board of Education approved the appointment of Shannon Lingle as an elementary special education teacher at its Aug. 6, 2026, special meeting.
"approve the appointment of Shannon Lingle as Elementary Special Education teacher effective August 10, 2026," Gregory Hudson moved, and Kelly Bennett seconded. The motion passed unanimously, 6-0. The board recorded the appointment at Step 6 (Masters) of the Panama Faculty Association contract and placed Lingle on a three-year probationary period ending Aug. 9, 2029.
The appointment was made upon the recommendation of the superintendent and noted as "in accordance with the provisions of the SAVE legislation," and contingent on receipt of required clearance or conditional release. The board also recorded that Lingle had signed a statement disclosing the existence of any criminal conviction or pending criminal charges in any jurisdiction.
The appointment takes effect on Aug. 10, 2026. No further personnel details or salary figures beyond the contract step were specified in the meeting minutes.
