The Panama Central School District Board of Education completed standard reorganization business July 13, electing Carrie Munsee as Board President and Sophie Horner as Vice President for the 2026–2027 year. The District Clerk cast the ballot for each officer and the oaths of office were administered.
On the superintendent's recommendation the board appointed Genevieve Jordan as District Clerk (annual stipend $2,750) and named Amanda Kolstee District Treasurer (no stipend). The board also approved a slate of officer appointments and contractual providers — including the district physician provider (Family Health Medical Services), the school resource officer arrangement with Chautauqua County, claims auditor Susan Turnquist ($3,500 stipend), external auditors (Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C.), and multiple law firms as district counsel — all by unanimous vote.
Members also designated official bank depositories (Northwest Bank, NYCLASS, Community Bank, N.A.), set Monday as the official meeting night, and selected The Post-Journal as the district’s official newspaper.
