Father Time, a local fathers’ support organization, marked its 20th anniversary during a presentation to the Keansburg Board of Education. Founding member Donald Acolano told the board the group exists to give fathers a place to connect, support one another and take part in community events such as a fall fishing derby.
"So my name is Donald Acolano, and I'm one of the founding members," Acolano said during the presentation, adding the group provides camaraderie and guidance for fathers who want to be active in their children's lives. Other members described weekly meetings, outreach to families and the group’s second annual fall derby, noting a grant obligates multiple community activities per year.
Mayor George Hough addressed the meeting to congratulate Father Time on its anniversary and praised its programs — from Santa photo events to father–daughter dances and the fishing derby — for offering "help and hope to parents who are struggling or who just need advice," he said. Board members and attendees publicly thanked the Father Time members for two decades of service.
