FBLA students honored; board approves national conference trip and chaperones
Summary
Five FBLA students were recognized for qualifying for nationals; the board approved a June 29–July 2, 2026 trip to San Antonio for two students and named Heath Hawk and John (Mark) Killian as chaperones.
Superintendent Eric Briggs and staff recognized FBLA students who qualified for the national competition: Oliver Hawk, Conley Killian, Rita Bird, Logan McGinn, and Erik Franzen. Later in the meeting the board approved an out-of-state field trip request for two FBLA students to attend the 2026 Middle School and High School National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas, June 29'July 2, 2026.
The trip request by John Peters was approved on a motion by Jason Young, seconded by Cathy Bachman. The board also approved Heath Hawk and John (Mark) Killian as chaperones for the trip (motion by Brigandi, seconded by Bachman).
