At the Feb. 9 meeting the board approved the first reading of multiple district policies: Policy No. 204 (Attendance); 218.1 (Weapons); 610 (Purchases Subject to Bid/Quotation); 611 (Purchases Budgeted); 805 (Emergency Preparedness and Response); 805.1 (Relations with Law Enforcement Agencies); 805.2 (School Security Personnel); and 913.1 (Sponsorships and Advertising). The motion was moved by Dr. Summer Bukeavich and seconded by Cathy Bachman and passed on roll call.
The minutes record the items as a first reading; the board did not adopt final versions at this meeting. The policies cover areas from attendance enforcement to school security and vendor purchasing procedures and will return for additional readings or final action as provided in district policy procedures.
