The South Williamsport Area School Board voted to approve an amendment to a Guaranteed Energy Savings Act (GESA) contract with Reynolds Energy Services, Inc. d/b/a SitelogIQ Energy Services, Inc. to continue mechanical improvements at the Junior‑Senior High School. The motion, moved by Steve Rupert and seconded by Ben Brigandi, passed on a roll call vote with all members voting yes.
Damion Spahr of SitelogIQ presented updated cost estimates for the project, saying the last target estimate was $3,043,000 with $1,000,000 originally set aside for locker‑room upgrades; current pricing for the locker rooms is $1,124,512 and the revised target for this phase is $2,800,000. The board was told that early ordering of long‑lead items required the approved GESA amendment “not to exceed $2,200,000” and that “There will be a future approval needed for an additional $600,000.” The amendment was described as subject to final review by district administration and the solicitor.
The board recorded the motion as: "A motion to approve an amendment to the Guaranteed Energy Savings Act (GESA) Agreement with Reynolds Energy Services, Inc. d/b/a SitelogIQ Energy Services, Inc. ... at a cost not to exceed $2,200,000 subject to final review by the Administration and the District Solicitor," with Rupert as mover and Brigandi as seconder (roll call: Bachman-yes, Brigandi-yes, Bukeavich-yes, Engel-yes, Hitesman-yes, Kohler-yes, Lewis-yes, Rupert-yes). The board also heard that additional approvals will be sought later for the remaining estimated funds.
