Mike McCarthy of Young and Wright Architectural opened the facilities update by identifying the emergency project at Eden Elementary: an active leak prompted immediate repairs including auditorium plaster and stage-floor replacements and installation of a new white roof described as carrying a 20-year warranty. The team said much of the interior work is complete for the season and exterior roof work will resume in spring and be scheduled across two summers.
Project staff presented the bidding schedule: documents were released to contractors, a pre-bid walkthrough is planned, bids will be opened March 3, and the board may consider contract recommendations on March 16. The team also described Phase 2 scope, which includes parking and sidewalk replacements, expanded exterior lighting, pre-K classroom renovations, restroom and HVAC work, and potential alternates depending on pricing.
