Superintendent Supt. Pratt reported staffing and compliance changes affecting early-education and special-education services.
"TK program has been cut by 1/3 and must operate by a certified teacher," Pratt said, adding that the district will update plans at the next board meeting. Pratt told the board an audit of special-education files found missing documentation under the previous administration; with Educational Service District oversight and a special-education teacher now on site, the district was told it may continue providing services.
Pratt also said staff and student surveys about a potential four-day school week were completed and that a parent survey will be distributed in April; the district will share results at the May meeting. The board did not take formal action on these program items during the session but recorded them for follow-up.
