Wyoming County School Board approves consent agenda and accepts May–June financials

The Wyoming County Board of Education approved a broad consent agenda and unanimously accepted the district—inancial reports for May and June during its Aug. 17 meeting.
Chief School Business Official Miss Church walked board members through the revenue and expense changes across funds, reporting Fund 11 cash of about $9.7 million and listing month-to-month changes by fund (for example, Fund 11 revenues up roughly $577,010, and total district expenses rising materially in June as the district paid prorated checks for summer payroll). "Our total cash, I'm just gonna fund 11 is $9,700,000," Miss Church said while summarizing the May schedule of cash investments and receipts. Board members asked detail questions about line items including professional salaries and capital-project draws before moving to a vote.
Board members and staff also addressed consent-agenda details such as required signatures, extracurricular fundraising timing and child-nutrition compliance. After discussion, a motion to approve the consent agenda passed and the board took a roll-call voice vote to accept the monthly financials, recorded by the chair as 5–0 in favor.
The board noted staff would follow up on packet clarifications (for example, pulling page 26 for a signature) and scheduled the next meeting for Aug. 27 at Central Office.
