Board conducts Charter Council interviews and appoints three community members

The board conducted interviews of Charter Council applicants during a work session prior to the July 2 meeting and used a standardized question set (questions 1, 4 and 5) for each candidate. Applicants interviewed included Miranda Morris, Mary Len Rees, Jennifer Weidert, Chelsea Maranville, Ryan Heath, Bob Park, Shannon Peters and Polly Hawkins.
Following interviews, the board agreed to appoint Shannon Peters, Ryan Heath and Mary Len Rees to the Helix Charter Council for two-year terms and named Friday Bracher as the non‑voting board representative. The appointments were announced during the regular meeting.
