The Marion Center Area School Board voted to approve the Oct. 21 and Oct. 28, 2024 minutes, the October treasurer’s report and payment of October bills, including the secondary, athletic and elementary activity accounts. The motion was moved by Ms. Young and seconded by Mr. Beatty; the minutes record the vote as Aye: 9, Nay: 0, Abstain: 0.
During reports, Superintendent Mr. Weimer confirmed the reorganization meeting set for Dec. 3 and provided a draft calendar. Directors reported the district’s Active Intruder drill on Nov. 15 and Nov. 5 (elementary), participation of 141 parent‑teacher conferences in the fall, a National Honor Society veterans’ breakfast attended by about 30 veterans and an increase in MC Cyber enrollment to 54 students after quarter change.
