The La Center School District Board of Directors unanimously approved Motion 24/25-22 to adopt the consent agenda at its Dec. 17 regular meeting. The approved items included minutes from prior meetings, a payroll authorization "not to exceed $2,020,000.00," multiple general-fund (GF), ASB and capital-fund (CF) warrants and ACH payments, and personnel actions covering new hires and resignations.
The board approved personnel items including several long‑term substitutes and classified hires and accepted resignations such as Brian Zylstra, resignation as Unified Soccer coach. Donors listed on the consent agenda included Keith Soehl, who gave $500 to each ES, MS and HS ASB account ($1,500 total) and $10,000 to high‑school athletics for new uniforms, and the La Center Lions Club, which donated a Plus Optics vision screener and accessories valued at $7,000 for shared use. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Mrs. Oldham and seconded by Mr. Lindberg and carried unanimously.
Board members requested routine reports listed under "Other Items for Board Review," including monthly financial reports and enrollment counts, be available for follow‑up. The approved consent items will be reflected in the district's financial records and personnel files per standard procedure.
