Marion Center board accepts retirements, approves hires and coaching appointments

The board approved fall coaching appointments with listed stipends: Football — Varsity head coach Adam Rising $8,350; multiple assistant and junior-high positions with stated stipends; Cross Country, Volleyball, Cheerleading and others with individual stipend amounts listed in the minutes. The motion to hire coaches passed with recorded roll-call results where noted (most coach hires recorded 8–1 with Ms. Young voting no on the package as presented). The board also accepted Victoria Dicken's resignation as School Board Director and Vice President from Region I; the motion to accept the resignation carried with recorded votes reflecting the prior voting pattern (8–1).
