Instruction & Learning report: district stresses HB 3 goals, HB 8/1416 changes and official Instruction & Learning Guide

Dr. Tracy Stone presented the Instruction & Learning monthly report, outlining progress toward House Bill 3 board goals and campus improvement plans (TIP, TAP, LIP). The report covered implementation of Bluebonnet Learning HQIM resources, LASO application work, Texas Lesson Study coaching focused on the Fundamental Five, and MTSS focus group collaboration with ESC 6 to support intervention and acceleration strategies. Dr. Stone referenced House Bill 8 and House Bill 1416 in the context of future assessment structure and accelerated instruction requirements and emphasized the district's focus on Meets and Masters performance levels.

"The district’s Instruction & Learning Guide, reviewed with TEA and ESC 6, remains the official reference for instructional minutes, TEKS-aligned HQIM resources, and academic expectations districtwide," Dr. Stone said. The presentation also noted work on leaver verification, assessment completion, math and science initiatives tied to SAT and CCMR goals, a phonics intervention reboot, and updates related to professional development compliance, behavior management and Section 504.
