The Marion Center Area School Board unanimously approved a series of service agreements for the 2026–27 school year during its May 18 meeting. Approved agreements include an emergency-services contract with Citizen's Ambulance Service, placements or services with Adelphoi Education, Inc.; Appalachian Youth Services; and New Story Schools, plus a five-year agreement with Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) for educator and clinician preparation field experiences.
Each agreement was presented as part of the district's effort to secure services for students who need specialized placements or training opportunities. The IUP agreement was described as a five-year partnership to support field experiences for educator and clinician candidates. All consent items in this group carried on unanimous votes.
Board discussion at the meeting did not record detailed contract terms or costs in the minutes; the motions approved the agreements as presented and authorize district administration to execute the contracts. The board did not specify additional monitoring or reporting requirements in the minutes beyond standard implementation through the Business Office and student services administration.
