The motion, moved by board member Brian Taylor and seconded by Sondra Gomez, passed 5-2. The minutes record Katherine Davidson and Jason Haag as voting Nay; the motion directs Haag to "enter into negotiations with the board's top-ranked finalist, as identified in executive session." The board had reconvened at about 7:18 p.m. after meeting in executive session under ORS 192.660(2)(a) to consider employment of a public officer.
