Board awards contracts for fair infrastructure, courthouse security and library remodel

Commissioners approved multiple contracts and capital projects during the July 15 meeting. The Fair will purchase livestock panels from Triton Barn Systems for $201,916 with a staged payment schedule (50% deposit, 25% mid-manufacturing, 25% on shipping). The Courthouse Security Station Project was awarded to Jorgenson Material Handling for $61,635 and the Wright Library Basement Remodel was awarded to American Contracting for $456,458; all motions were seconded and recorded as carried.

The board also approved several change-of-capital requests that reallocated funds between projects, for example moving small sums from the Detention Center Cell Doors Project to airport and road projects, and a larger transfer of $35,000 to a Rec Center shutdown project. These reallocations were recorded as approved motions in the minutes.

County staff will manage contracting and payment schedules; the minutes list award amounts and payment terms where specified but do not provide construction schedules or contractor start/completion dates in the public record.
