Central Cambria extends classified handbook, approves ESY staffing and hires network coordinator

The board authorized several Extended School Year assignments at $28.50 per hour for district teachers with specified maximum hours (Ashley Miller up to 41 hours; Nicole Stephan up to 37.5 hours; Diane Lucas up to 29 hours; Jamie Mazzarella up to 20 hours; Jaylee Sikora up to 5 hours) and approved two paraprofessionals (Marisa Locher and Amy Kim) to provide ESY services not to exceed 31.5 hours each at their current hourly rate.
On hires, the board approved the recommendation to hire Bryce Croyle as Network Coordinator beginning July 1, 2026 at an initial annual salary of $60,000 pending receipt of required documentation and solicitor review of the employment agreement. The board also approved hiring Zack Venesky as a full-time custodian at $12.85 per hour and accepted the resignation of Michael Reynolds (Maintenance), effective May 21, 2026. The board approved changing Jennifer Barron's status from Temporary Professional Employee to Tenured Professional Employee after three years of service.
