Board approves military leave for facilities director and travel requests

The Personnel Committee recommended and the board approved a military leave request submitted by Mr. Ted Rakar for the 2026–27 school year under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), 38 U.S.C. §§ 4301–4333; the motion was seconded by Mr. Paul Seymour and recorded as approved.
Separately, the board approved travel and conference attendance: Mr. Ted Rakar was authorized to attend a Facility and Maintenance Management Conference in Camp Hill, PA, on July 21–22, 2026; and Wendy Mikolich was authorized to attend the Cambria County Housing Summit in Ebensburg on Sept. 1, 2026. Motions to approve the travel requests were seconded and recorded as carried unanimously in the minutes.
