Lacey Sharp, who reported for the elementary school, summarized November staffing and program activity and said “the month of November flew by with certified staff evaluations, a visit from the Department of Early Learning and a presentation from the Ed Excellence Team on inservice day.”
Sharp told the board that fifth-grade classes spent a week at Starbase for STEM instruction and highlighted two large community events: the annual Thanksgiving Feast, which fed 499 people, and the PTG’s Neon Nights Dance, which drew 424 attendees. The numbers were presented to illustrate family and community engagement at the elementary campus.
Sharp’s update was presented during the administrative reports portion of the Dec. 10 meeting and did not include requests for board action. The information will inform family-engagement planning and volunteer coordination for upcoming events.
