During public comment a parent, Abigail Luna, raised detailed allegations about a Parker School employee, saying the behavior affected her children over multiple years and that prior meetings with the principal did not produce change. Luna said she had documented incidents including a physical incident on 11/22/2022 and alleged retaliatory conduct by the staff member toward her children.
"Lockwood is protected by Galliana, and that's why I feel she is entitled and she's not changing," Luna said, accusing school leadership of preventing remediation. The board president and other trustees interrupted to note that the topic involved personnel and student matters; board counsel and the president advised Luna to pursue the district's personnel and complaint processes and suggested contacting the assistant superintendent or the district's Affirmative Action officer for formal review.
Board officials did not substantively debate the allegation in public session, citing confidentiality and personnel policy; they reminded the speaker of available administrative routes and said the board would not allow defamatory statements in public comment. The board did not take immediate disciplinary action in open session and characterized the matter as a personnel issue to be handled according to district procedures.
