Twisp council hears contractor switch to full closures; sidewalks may finish by mid-June

Director Denham told the council the Glover Street Project "kicked off to a good start" and said the contractor proposed switching from partial closures to full road closures to better meet the phasing plan. He said the change could move sidewalk completion from July 1 to about mid‑June under the new plan and that the contractor will provide a weekly three‑week lookahead schedule to post on the town website.

The update followed Mayor Smith's earlier observation that the Glover Street work has been taking significant staff time and that more discussion would come later in the meeting. The council received the schedule update without a separate vote; project work on whole blocks and the timing of associated streetscape elements such as bike racks and benches were highlighted as items to watch in the coming weeks.
