Santiam Canyon board backs Clyde Rood for OSBA Board Position 10

On Nov. 12, 2025, the Santiam Canyon School Board voted to support Clyde Rood for the Oregon School Boards Association (OSBA) Board of Directors, Position 10.
Carl Anderson moved to vote for Clyde Rood and Josh Childress seconded. After brief discussion in which board member Melissa Allison said she had been more impressed by Luhui Whitebear’s facilitation at the OSBA conference, Chair Elizabeth Reeser asked for a roll-call vote. The motion passed 5-0.
Clyde Rood, who introduced himself during the public comment period, told the board his main focus as a regional representative would be "open lines of communication with the Boards across the region." The board recorded no abstentions or no votes for the seat.
