Board accepts second reading of JFCEB personal electronic devices policy

The Santiam Canyon SD 129J board reviewed the second reading of policy JFCEB (Personal Electronic Devices) on Oct. 8. The policy was presented with the changes the board requested at the prior meeting. Board Member Melissa Allison moved to accept the policy as presented and Josh Childress seconded; the motion passed unanimously, 4-0.
Superintendent Krista Nieraeth told the board that the administrative regulation (JFCEB-AR) regarding exceptions will be created by the superintendent and posted on the district policy page; administrative regulations are not subject to board approval, per the presentation.
