Mark (S3), the district's maintenance staff who joined the meeting remotely, answered detailed questions about multiple facilities issues raised by board members and community attendees. He confirmed that several small roof leaks had been repaired and that the ADA interior door remains in process: replacement switches are on order and will be installed early next week.
"I have 2 switches on order, and they hopefully will be in 1st part of next week, and we can change those out, and that should resolve that problem," Mark (S3) said, describing the needed repairs for the ADA automatic door. He also said the Snack Shack electrical and plumbing work appears resolved but noted full functional testing will occur once spring athletics increase usage.
Board members raised a related accessibility concern after a weekend basketball event where the usual accessible entrance had not been opened; staff said a facility-use scheduling ambiguity led to the problem and pledged clearer scheduling, designated entry points and elevator access for future events. The board accepted staff's pledge to tighten facility-use procedures and coordinate openings for events to ensure accessible entry.
