Vernonia School Board switches auditors, approves ESD service plan and policy updates

Board member (mover) moved to “change the VST auditor of record from Polly Rogers and Co. PC to ClearTrail CPA LLC as discussed.” The motion was seconded and carried on a voice vote, with the chair calling for ayes and no members objecting. Later the board voted to approve the 2025–26 local service plan with the Northwest Regional ESD after a motion to “approve the 20 25, 26 local service plan as presented and discussed,” which a trustee moved and another seconded; the motion also passed by voice vote.
The board then considered policy updates scheduled for a second reading (item 9.3 had been added to the agenda earlier); a motion to adopt the policies as presented carried on a voice vote. The consent agenda — minutes and routine items, with one name-correction in the minutes — was approved by like procedure.
Board members did not request a roll-call tally in the meeting minutes for these votes. The superintendent and business manager said further details on financial timing and next steps would be available in the February packet and follow-up communications.
