At its March 16 meeting the Port Orford–Langlois School Board authorized administration to proceed with a bond project so the measure may be placed on the county ballot. Superintendent Aaron Miller asked for the board's permission to move forward; Carol Hacherl moved and Angel Ashdown seconded the motion, and board members voted unanimously to proceed.
The board indicated bond support costs will be added to the proposed 2026–27 budget. Trustees did not set a final bond size or date during the meeting but instructed administration to continue preparations needed for ballot placement. The motion was recorded as approved and the board asked staff to include bond-related costs in the upcoming budget draft.
