The board approved the negotiated American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) agreement effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028. Brigandi moved the motion; Bukeavich seconded and the roll-call vote was unanimous.
In personnel actions the board approved tenure for Ben Foote, Joella Harvey and Amy Vance. The board also approved a revised child-bearing/child-rearing leave for employee EE #1311 covering Oct. 29, 2024 through Oct. 28, 2025.
The meeting included approval of an extensive slate of athletic coaching appointments and stipend amounts across sports. The coaching motion passed with one abstention: President Todd Engel recorded an abstention on the coach approvals while other members voted yes. The appointments list includes stipends (for example, Head Football Coach Chris Eiswerth at $7,125; Boys Basketball Head Coach Joe Simon at $5,506; Girls Basketball Head Coach Jaquan Masteller at $5,000) and multiple volunteer coaching designations.
Board members indicated there would be an executive session after the meeting regarding personnel. As recorded verbatim in the minutes: "There will be an executive session after the meeting regarding personnel; no action to follow."
