On Oct. 6 the South Williamsport Area School Board approved an amendment to the district's Guaranteed Energy Savings Act (GESA) agreement with Reynolds Energy Services, Inc. d/b/a SitelogIQ Energy Services, Inc. to continue mechanical improvements at the Junior Senior High School at a cost not to exceed $2,300,000. The motion was made by Rupert and seconded by Brigandi; the motion carried with Engel and Miller recorded as "no."
Superintendent Dr. Eric Briggs summarized that the Building Operating Committee had reviewed multiple high-school project options presented by SitelogIQ on Sept. 26 and prioritized options for board consideration. The motion conditions the contract amendment on final review by district administration and the district solicitor. Board discussion in the public minutes notes funding options discussed earlier: Committed Fund Balance, Capital Reserve funds and the possibility of a future debt issue to cover project costs.
