Superintendent Dr. Eric Briggs told the board that a No Rise Certification had confirmed the feasibility of constructing a soccer and track complex at the South Williamsport Borough site.
"The No Rise Certification has been completed," Dr. Briggs said, and he outlined next steps: a design phase to produce final construction documents and to secure permitting related to stormwater and the floodplain. He estimated that phase would cost approximately $100,000.
Board members did not take a formal vote on moving into the design phase during the meeting. The presentation left the question of whether to proceed to design for a future agenda item; any decision would include permitting, final engineering and the associated budget implications for the district.
