Marion Center board accepts resignations, grants tenure and approves new hires and coaching appointment

The board granted tenure to Mariah Syktich, Hannah Schrecengost and Brittany Book under Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements.
The board also approved hires: Jeremy Rose as a secondary agriculture teacher effective July 1, 2026 (per MCAEA contract); Giana Hutchens as a life skills teacher effective Aug. 18, 2025 at a salary of $55,580; Olivia Kovalovsky as a learning support teacher effective Aug. 18, 2025 at $55,580 pending receipt of a Pennsylvania K–12 Special Education certificate; and Joseph Rhoades as a secondary learning support teacher at a salary of $60,711. The board approved hiring Chad Wells as assistant junior high football coach at $3,250 pending required clearances. The motions were moved and seconded as listed in the minutes and carried by recorded votes.
