Fort Lee moves forward with multiple shared‑service agreements, event approvals and developer items

At the June 4 work session the council reviewed several administrative and contractual items to be placed on the June 18 agenda, including: a shared‑services agreement with Norwood to provide construction inspection services; a shared‑services agreement with Leonia for Fort Lee radio communications personnel to install and maintain equipment in Leonia emergency vehicles; and a proposal from Community Grants, Planning & Housing to serve as the borough’s affordable housing administrative agent for 2026.

Council members also reviewed draft developer agreements (221 Main Street and 434 Bluff Road) that the borough attorney recommended for authorization, subject to required insurance and letters of credit. Separately, the agenda included event approvals to be placed on June 18: Best Buddies International Bike Run (Oct. 3), Knights of Columbus soccer challenge (Sept. 26, rain date Oct. 3), and Saint Rocco’s Feast (Aug. 5–9). The minutes show these items as scheduled for future formal action rather than final approvals on June 4.
