The Marion Center Area School Board approved several personnel actions at its Aug. 18 meeting, including hiring Nicole Raybuck as a Pre-K aide at Rayne Elementary (per AFSCME contract), approving long-term substitutes Lydia McIlwain and Beth Ann Stevens at pro-rated salaries of $32,500, hiring Gerard (Gerald) Hughes as a long-term substitute teacher for FFA at $55,000, and hiring Emily Freese as an 8-hour high school custodian at $14.00 per hour with benefits.
The board also accepted, with regret, the resignation of Rayne custodian Ryan Kanouff effective Aug. 7, 2025. Multiple personnel lists were approved earlier in the meeting: the 2025 substitute list and the 2025-26 bus driver and substitute bus driver lists. All personnel motions recorded unanimous votes (8-0).
